We had a week of good news for Pre fans. If you missed anything in the last week, here’s your chance to catch up.

News leaked that Sprint employees are to begin training on the Palm Pre for the month of April. There is also talk of vacation time being restricted in the month of May. This all comes with the rumors that Palm will launch the Pre on Sunday the 17th of May, assuming there is enough stock of the device to meet demand. Otherwise, we might not see the Pre until June 29th.
Palm has begun admitting developers into the early Mojo SDK program. These developers will help write the first wave of webOS applications for the Pre that will be available come launch day.
I took a look at the value of Synergy and location based applications for the Pre. This will help put the Pre and webOS one step ahead of the iPhone and other competitors, especially if the applications are able to use Synergy intelligently.

Sprint launched their new advertising campaign featuring the Palm Pre. The ads are popping up in news papers and online. Sprint’s new theme is “Plug into Now” and has a website that dedicates a section to information on the Pre.

It couldn’t be all good news however. Word has spread that Howard Stern has dropped the Palm Pre for a BlackBerry Bold after receiving a private demo of the Pre from Palm. He’s officially betrayed his Palm brethren and defected to join the CrackBerry users.
