When the Clones Attack: Starring the Palm Pre…ish

Well no, it is not a new movie, and there’s no Palm Pre in it either. The phone that you will see in the next images is in fact a wannabe Palm Pre, or like many call them; a KIRF. It doesn’t look exactly as a Pre, but there is no denying where this phone took inspiration from.

I guess it was just a matter of time for someone to clone our beloved Pre, but the first webOS smartphone has been out in the market for only a few months. For me it seems too soon, but for others, it was already time. Whatever the case, this Pre clone is out there, and many will buy it. This phone is not being marketed as a clone of the Palm Pre. Instead, is been marketed in China as a half iPhone, half Blackberry device.

It seems to be running the OPhone operating system, and it has FM radio, analog TV, Bluetooth and Java. It runs on the GSM bands 850/900 and 1800/1900 according to the image above. It doesn’t have a gesture area, instead, it has a call/send and hang up buttons with a big center button.
