One of the things that many corporate smartphone users need in a mobile phone is support for Exchange servers. Many users know that different OS’ support Exchange to different extents and finding a platform that offers all the functionality needed can sometimes be a challenge.

ZDNet has a rundown of different mobile OS’ that support Exchange and talks about what each supports, and doesn’t support. Naturally, Windows Mobile supports all features of Exchange, and is really the only platform that does. The iPhone OS supports all functions other than private appointment creation. Exchange on the N97 from Nokia lacks the ability to search the server and create meetings.
The Android OS lacks the ability to make private meetings and search the server as well. The new version of Android supports Task synchronization. The Pre has limited Exchange support with no private meeting capability and no meeting creation where you can add attendees. However, the Pre is noted as the first device to allow support for multiple exchange accounts.
